By Chloe French

Hello my name is Chloe French and I work for a childcare company called RICE Remote Isolated Children’s Exercise in Port Augusta. I was a governess for two years up near Camooweal on a station called Gallipoli. I’m now on my second year studying Bachelor of Education (Primary Teaching) at Charles Darwin University. I study externally from my station via Iron Knob called Corunna station.

Part of my ELA200- English, Language and Literacy in Education 2 requires students through Charles Darwin University to complete a personal literacy profile to show our understand of literacy and knowledge in our own way.

My Teaching Philosophy:

As a previous governess and current educator in the work place I think everyone child has the right to there own views and should express themselves through school. As an educator I need to be aware of the each children’s different abilities and personality.

I aim to respect and teach each child to its own ability and to proved assists when needed. I know there will be diverse learning needs that will require extra assists and I will provide the students with that support.

As the teacher I want to make sure I give the students a positive role model to look up to. Forming a stronge relationship between myself, the parents/families that will give the child comfort when beginning school.

I aim to make a difference as a educator to future children because of the wonderful teachers that I experienced throughout my education. Each child has the right to a good education and to be successful in what they put their minds to.
